Beaches
Bakoven
A series of small coves and rock pools, this beach is a 10 minute walk from the villa. It’s often referred to as the secret beach as access is via narrow alleyways in the small residential pocket of Backoven. This beach offers spectacular views and calm, clear waters.
Camps Bay
Camps Bay beach which is located within a 5 minute walk from the villa is an excellent option on wind free days. Deck chairs are available for rental.
Clifton
The Clifton beaches are situated a 15 minute walk away and these beaches are a series of secluded coves that offer a dramitic setting amongst the steep slopes and expensive real estate. Deck chairs are available to rent.
Llundadno
Situated between Camps Bay and Hout Bay (10 minute drive), Llundadno beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape Town. Flanked by massive boulders and at the base of the steep slopes of the 12 Apostles Mountain Range, it seems to have it all.
Muizenberg
Located a 20 minute drive from the villa, Muizenberg beach is a surfers paradise with long stretches of white sandy beach and plenty of wave for everyone. There are surf schools, board and wetsuit rental shops and cafes on the beachfront and the water is a lot warmer than on the Atlantic Seaboard.
St. James
A 25 minute drive brings you to the bohemian suburbs of St. James and Kalk Bay. The beach is made famous by the multi-coloured beach huts that adorn most postcards. The beach has a sandy section, rock pools and a tidal pool. The reef break is a popular bodyboarding spot. There are lots of interesting antique and trinket shops, art galleries, coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Adventure Activities
If exploring or getting the heart rate up and the adrenaline flowing, Cape Town has you covered… The following activities plus plenty more can be enjoyed within close proximity to 008 villa: Abseiling, archery, deep sea fishing, diving, jet-boating, horse riding, off-road driving, paragliding, quad biking, sailing, sand boarding, sky diving, rock climbing and zip lining.
Hiking & Walking
There are numerous hikes throughout the Table Mountain National Park, varying in difficulty and terrain. Should you like to explore the mountain with a guide, we can assist with booking this on your behalf.
Lion’s head is a circular ascent that takes roughly 1 hour, it‘s a safe and busy route and is great for sunsets/full moon hikes.
The Glen Greenbelt is a 15 minute walk away and it runs up a ravine between Table Mountain and Lion’s Head. A very popular walk/run in the afternoon.
Cycling & Mountain Biking
With Cape Town flanked by the ocean and having Table Mountain National Park extending from the city to Cape Point, Cape Town is a cyclists dream. Long open roads, challenging climbs and an extensive trail network make it the perfect place to explore on a road, gravel or mountain bike.

If you are the adventurous type this one is for you! Head out to Gansbaai (2.5 hour drive) and experience an up close and personal cage dive with Great White sharks.
